The Congress was held at the sites of the Republican House of Friendship and the Kazakh National Academy of Arts n.a. T. K. Zhurgenov.
The event was supported by the Scientific-expert Council of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.
The main directions of the Congress:
· Children's book in a multicultural educational space;
· Reflection of the history of the country and people in children's books;
· Children's book as an art object.
The Congress program includes reports and presentations by researchers, teachers, and writers from Kazakhstan (Almaty, Nur-Sultan, Kokshetau, Semey), the Russian Federation (Moscow, Pyatigorsk, Nalchik, Grozny, Makhachkala), Hungary, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. During the Congress, presentations and exhibitions of fairy tales by Kazakhstani authors; scientific works and literary works of the teaching staff, PhD students, undergraduates, students of KazNAA n.a. T. K. Zhurgenov were held. Within the framework of the Congress, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the writers' stage of the International children's competition "Let's Draw a Fairy Tale!".
